Writing is the easy part! — Part 4

Part 4 “Punctuation, Quotes and Apostrophes, OH MY!”

Rules of writing. Punctuation, quotation marks and apostrophes. Sometimes the rules are the same, sometimes they are not. Apostrophes, what a cool word to pronounce, yet a confusing one to get a real understanding of.

I find that I get stuck on these three things. The writing is no problem, the correct punctuation is.

My editor fixes these things, but prior to that, I have a secret!

It’s called the ‘REVIEW’ tab on my word document! I hit that and it checks spelling and grammar and punctuation and my conciseness.

I know what I am trying to convey, but this Editorial review process on my Word Document like’s to change things. It gives me an option that totally changes what I am saying, but then it makes me think about what it pointed out as being incorrect and I get stuck.

Do you get stuck when the review button corrects you?

Do you change everything it says to change?

Do you write out the word ‘because’ instead of writing ‘ ‘cuz’, even though you wanted to write ‘cuz?

I have a headache just thinking about this. God Bless my Editor!
